As the "Cassandra" of abortion journalism, Christine predicted the fall of Roe v. Wade nearly a decade ago as a staff reporter covering reproductive rights in Washington during the first Trump administration. She reported on the imminent Supreme Court reversal of Roe during what would be the final weeks of her pregnancy in 2022 and published the resulting SELF magazine article while holding her premature baby in the hospital. She forecast Amy Coney Barrett’s eventual ascendancy within 24 hours of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death.
